One mess leads to...

One day during Jonathan's nap time I peeked in on him to make sure he was okay. He had been playing...then there was silence for a very long time. When I opened the door, I was greeted by a huge mess that led me straight to his bed where I found him sound asleep. Making messes is very tiring!

Georgia Vacation

We went to Georgia to visit family friends. We had the best time! Jonathan was wonderful...which was a blessing because we all know that it could have been a nightmare. We got to go the an Atlanta Braves game. Jonathan got a free hat for coming to his first baseball game. He loves it! We got to watch fireworks at Turner Field after the game. We went to Zoo Atlanta and saw all of the animals that Curious George saw in "Zoo Night". Ryan and I walked in the Atlanta Peachtree Road Race along with the rest of the family and friends. It was alot of fun. We had great food and great fun. Thank you to Guy, Becky, Marti, Lane, Sara, Mac, Angelina, Webb, Tee, and Sam for being such great hosts and hostesses! (We owe Becky and Sam a bunch for being so helpful with Jonathan!)

Good Friends, Good Times

We went to my good friend Wendy's house to eat supper and visit with her twin sister (and my best friend) Cindy! All of their children (all boys) were there, too. We had the best time visiting, and the boys had the best time playing! We also got to visit with our friend Stacy. The boys got a chance to play in the sprinklers. The adults got wet a few times, too...by accident. Thank you Wendy for a wonderful evening. And thank you, Mark, for letting us play in the water!

Just like Daddy!

A few weekends ago Ryan let Jonathan ride with him on the John Deere (which Jonathan calls the "cacker"--for tractor). He had the best time. I thought he would be squealing and laughing, but Jonathan was very serious about driving the "cacker"! You can tell by his face. He was too busy doing "yardwork" to stop and smile!

Mardi Gras Pet Parade

We went to the Mardi Gras Pet Parade last Satuday. We had the best time! Jonathan got so many beads, and he got to hold a dog! He loved that! When we got home after the parade, I thought, "Boy, Jonathan sure got alot of beads! People must have thought he was so cute in his wagon." Then it hit me...he was wearing the hat...we got "sympathy beads"! What's funny is that Lara (Jonathan's aunt) thought the same thing, too! We just laughed and laughed!

Our Little Monkey

We put some stickers on Jonathan's "hat", and boy do they make it look sooooo cute! They will eventually wear off, and we will have to put new ones on it. The letters on the back are his initials. Didn't want his name flashing for everyone (in Walmart) to see!

Jonathan's New Hat

On Monday we went to Dallas to get Jonathan's new hat! It is called a Doc Band and is used on children who have plagiocephaly (or misshapened head). There are many things that can cause it such as back sleeping, no tummy time or in-utero. We believe Jonathan's problem began before he was born.

With all of that being said...we are so excited to have the hat. And he is doing just fantastic with it! He actually likes to have it on! That's a good thing since he will have to wear it 23 hours a day! He just looks so cute. Our little man...
